Terms

Lineup is free to download and use on your own Macs. Please don't take it apart or pass it on.

Using Lineup

• Free to download. Lineup and its free tools cost nothing, and you don't need an account.
• Your own Macs. You may install and use Lineup on Macs you own or control, for your own use.
• Lineup is proprietary. Henrique Caiano owns the Lineup name, icons and code, apart from the code under other licences below. These terms let you use the app. They don't give you rights to its source code.
• Don't take it apart. Don't reverse engineer, decompile or modify Lineup, except where the law allows it anyway.
• Don't pass it on. Don't share, sell or host the Lineup download or app yourself. Link to lineup.caiano.com instead. Linking to Lineup and reviewing it are always fine.
• Other licences. Lineup 2.2.0 and earlier, and some later builds and parts of the code, come with their own licences, included in the app. Where they apply, those licences replace the two rules above.

Updates

Lineup checks lineup.caiano.com for new versions and asks before installing anything. Updates can add, change or remove features. The privacy page says what an update check sends.

Joining the founding list is free and doesn't commit you to buy anything. The privacy page says what we store and how to leave.

Lineup Pro

• Price. Lineup Pro costs $10 a month, billed yearly at $120, or $15 billed monthly in US dollars. The first 500 yearly subscriptions cost $8 a month, billed yearly at $96, while their subscription stays active. If it lapses, resubscribing costs the standard price. Prices exclude tax: where VAT or sales tax applies, checkout adds it before you pay.
• Sold through Stripe. Stripe sells Lineup Pro as merchant of record, through its Link service. It takes the payment, charges any tax and sends your receipt, and its terms cover the payment. We provide the app and your licence.
• Your licence. We email a licence to the address you used at checkout. It activates Lineup Pro on up to 3 Macs you own or control, for your own use. Keep it private: anyone who has it can use it.
• Perpetual fallback. Each paid year covers updates until the end of that billing period. After a paid year, yearly Pro keeps working on every build released during your paid coverage. Monthly subscriptions have no perpetual fallback. Pro tools stop when an online check confirms monthly paid access ended. If the service cannot be reached, access continues for up to seven days after the signed paid end, then stops.
• Cancellation. Cancel in Settings › Lineup Pro › Manage Subscription before the next charge. Cancellation stops future billing and update-plan extensions. It preserves already paid coverage.
• Refunds. Yearly payments, including renewals, have a 30-day refund window. If Lineup Pro isn't right for you, email support@caiano.com within 30 days of a yearly payment for a full refund. Monthly payments have no self-serve refund window; use the 14-day no-card trial before subscribing. A refund of your first yearly payment within its window, or a payment dispute, revokes the licence on every Mac. A refund of a yearly renewal within its window cancels the subscription and returns you to the coverage of your last fully paid year: Pro keeps working on every build released before that year ended. Normal cancellation preserves your paid coverage.

No warranty

Lineup is provided "as is", without any warranty. We work to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or right for what you need.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Henrique Caiano isn't liable for any loss or damage that comes from using Lineup or not being able to use it, including lost data or profits. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and doesn't let us take away.

Law

Portuguese law governs these terms. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the consumer laws where you live.

Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
